The New York Police Department has released video and photos of a suspected predator accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a Queens park last week.

The attack occurred around 3:30 pm on Thursday in Kissena Park in Flushing Meadows. According to the NYPD, the suspect approached the 13-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, pulled a “machete-style” blade, and forced the pair to a secluded area of the 235-acre park.

The suspect then tied the children’s hands with shoelaces and sexually assaulted the young girl. He subsequently took the teens’ phones and told them to wait 20 minutes before leaving, police said.

The NYPD has released video and photos of the suspected predator, described as a light-skinned man in his 20s with a heavy Spanish accent and a distinctive tattoo of a boar or similar animal with red eyes and horns on his left chest.

Investigators were able to confirm video of the suspect on the perimeter of the park days after the attack, and a $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to his arrest.

The sexual assault has left the surrounding community on edge, with local residents expressing concerns about the safety of their children in the park. “Everybody is tense since the news because we all have small children that are playing here, and it happened in the day,” one father told The New York Post.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information about the suspect to contact authorities immediately. “Let’s show him how New Yorkers come together to stop evil—he can run, but he can’t hide, we will catch him,” said Deputy Commissioner Kaz Daughtry.
