A lawsuit alleges that an 18-year-old NYU freshman, Kaitlyn Fung, stole designer goods totaling over $51,000 from her roommate, Aurora Agapov. The stolen items, including Gucci, Chanel, and Bvlgari, were allegedly sold through consignment store The RealReal.

Agapov, daughter of a wealthy Russian mining magnate, claims the stolen items held sentimental value. The lawsuit details how Fung allegedly undervalued the items while reselling them, citing a $13,000 Bvlgari necklace sold for just $2,485.

Agapov discovered the alleged theft after finding a receipt from The RealReal in Fung’s possession. The lawsuit seeks $51,000 in damages and the return of any remaining stolen items. Fung faces criminal charges and potential suspension from NYU.
