According to the report, a friend of Prince William believes Prince Harry should use his upcoming trip to Colombia to apologize for his past cocaine use.
The friend argued that Harry’s “trip to Colombia should include an admission that the country has been destroyed by narco-terrorists servicing wealthy drug users in the west, and he should stand up and apologize for his own participation in that disgusting trade.”
Harry’s Past Drug Use Controversy
In his 2023 memoir “Spare,” Harry revealed that he had tried cocaine when he was 17 years old “to feel different.” During an interview, he also said he relied on alcohol and drugs, including cocaine, to cope with the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana.
Harry’s past drug use has caused major controversy, with reports that he may face possible deportation from the United States if it’s discovered he did not disclose his history on immigration documents. The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, has sued the Department of Homeland Security for Harry’s documents, citing public interest.
Upcoming Colombia Trip and Criticism
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are set to visit Colombia later this month, with the trip timed to coincide with the first World Ministerial Conference on the Elimination of Violence Against Children.
However, William’s friend criticized the focus on online trolling, arguing that “online trolling is the biggest risk to children being exploited, enslaved and murdered by drugs gangs.”
The friend’s call for Harry to apologize during the Colombia trip reflects the ongoing scrutiny and controversy surrounding the prince’s past drug use and its potential impact on his public image and work.
