Long Island authorÂiÂties have indictÂed Rex HeuerÂmann, the prime susÂpect in the Gilgo Beach murÂders, on an addiÂtionÂal murÂder charge. The 60-year-old is expectÂed to be arraigned this week in RiverÂhead, New York.
Details on the speÂcifÂic new charge havenât been released, but NewsÂday reports it relates to anothÂer victim.
This comes after a recent search of HeuerÂmanÂnâs home, the secÂond since his 2023 arrest for the murÂders of the âGilgo Fourâ â Amber Lynn CostelÂlo, MelisÂsa BartheleÂmy, Nicole Brainard-Smith, and Megan Waterman.
Despite eviÂdence, the locaÂtion of the killings remains a mysÂtery. HeuerÂmann is detained at RiverÂhead CorÂrecÂtionÂal FacilÂiÂty. These develÂopÂments sugÂgest a wider invesÂtiÂgaÂtion into HeuerÂmanÂnâs potenÂtial involveÂment in more murders.
