Free Speech Fight: A North Carolina student is suing his school after getting suspended for a question about “illegal aliens.” This case is sparking a debate about free speech rights in schools. ⚖️

What Happened? 16-year-old Christian McGhee asked his teacher if “alien” in an assignment meant “space aliens or illegal aliens?” A classmate jokingly threatened him, but the school suspended Christian for 3 days, calling his question “racist.” ❌

Mom Fights Back! Christian’s mom says the suspension is unfair and hurts his chances of getting a college sports scholarship. She sued, claiming the school violated his First Amendment rights because his question wasn’t racist or disruptive.

Is it PC Gone Wild? Elon Musk and others are criticizing the school, saying it’s an example of political correctness going too far. The school district can’t comment on the case but says they investigate all discipline matters seriously. ️‍♀️
