A susÂpectÂed drunk driÂver, Daniel ChristoÂpher Hyden (44), has been arrestÂed in conÂnecÂtion with a deadÂly crash on the LowÂer East Side durÂing Fourth of July celebrations.
Hyden allegedÂly drove a truck through an interÂsecÂtion, mountÂing the sideÂwalk and strikÂing pedesÂtriÂans, includÂing chilÂdren, in CorÂlears Hook Park.
The crash tragÂiÂcalÂly resultÂed in three fatalÂiÂties, with authorÂiÂties expectÂed to file addiÂtionÂal charges against Hyden.
This inciÂdent has takÂen a shockÂing turn as itâs revealed Hyden is a licensed subÂstance abuse counÂselor and author of a self-help book titled âThe Sober Addict: A PracÂtiÂcal Guide to LivÂing with Addiction.â
PubÂlished in 2020, the book posiÂtions Hyden as an âex-proÂfesÂsionÂal addictâ with extenÂsive perÂsonÂal experience.
