Lynnwood police successfully apprehended two suspects in connection with a series of jewelry store robberies in Snohomish County. The arrests took place after a reported alarm at the JCPenney jewelry department in Alderwood Mall early Monday morning.

Upon arrival, the suspects fled the scene, prompting a brief pursuit that led to the arrest of an adult and a juvenile. The individuals are also believed to be responsible for a burglary at a JCPenney’s store in Marysville an hour prior.

One of the suspects was identified through surveillance footage from the Marysville store. At the time of their arrest, they were found in possession of hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen jewelry.

Further investigation led to the discovery of additional stolen jewelry in a vehicle parked at the Alderwood Mall, believed to be the same vehicle used during the Marysville robbery. Both suspects were found to have outstanding warrants.

These arrests come as a relief to local businesses and shoppers, as authorities work to curb similar incidents in the area.
