A 16-year-old girl ominously texted her family on Tuesday, claiming that two men had kidnapped her outside a Brooklyn subway station.
However, the teen has not been seen since, leaving authorities scrambling to uncover what happened.
Kidnapping Reported Outside NYC Subway Station
According to the New York Police Department, the unidentified girl messaged her family around 3 p.m. on August 13, 2024, informing them that she had been forced into a car by two men near the Pitkin Avenue-Van Siclen Avenue A and C subway station.
The teen was last seen entering the station just minutes before sending the alarming text.
Surveillance images released by the NYPD show the girl near the turnstiles, described as having a light complexion, brown hair, and brown eyes.
She was wearing a black hooded shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, and carrying a gray purse.
Authorities Seek Public’s Assistance
The NYPD has asked the public for help in locating the missing girl, who stands approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall.
Detectives are working around the clock to uncover any leads or information that could help bring the teen home safely.
