Teenage Girl Vanishes After Alarming Subway Abduction Text

A 16-year-old girl omi­nous­ly texted her fam­i­ly on Tues­day, claim­ing that two men had kid­napped her out­side a Brook­lyn sub­way station. 

How­ev­er, the teen has not been seen since, leav­ing author­i­ties scram­bling to uncov­er what happened.

Kidnapping Reported Outside NYC Subway Station

Accord­ing to the New York Police Depart­ment, the uniden­ti­fied girl mes­saged her fam­i­ly around 3 p.m. on August 13, 2024, inform­ing them that she had been forced into a car by two men near the Pitkin Avenue-Van Siclen Avenue A and C sub­way station.

The teen was last seen enter­ing the sta­tion just min­utes before send­ing the alarm­ing text.

Sur­veil­lance images released by the NYPD show the girl near the turn­stiles, described as hav­ing a light com­plex­ion, brown hair, and brown eyes.

She was wear­ing a black hood­ed shirt, blue jeans, white sneak­ers, and car­ry­ing a gray purse.

Authorities Seek Public’s Assistance

The NYPD has asked the pub­lic for help in locat­ing the miss­ing girl, who stands approx­i­mate­ly 5 feet 2 inch­es tall. 

Detec­tives are work­ing around the clock to uncov­er any leads or infor­ma­tion that could help bring the teen home safely.
