Ohio State University Grad’s Mom Dies in Fall

What should have been a joyous celebration turned into a nightmare for a graduating student at Ohio State. A woman attending her daughter’s graduation ceremony tragically fell from the stands on Sunday.

Identified as Georgia Resident

Authorities identified the woman as a 53-year-old Georgia resident. The investigation is ongoing to determine how the fall happened from the stadium’s upper deck, which is a staggering 136 feet high.

Suicide or Accident?

While foul play is not suspected, university officials are tight-lipped on whether the fall was accidental or intentional. Reports suggest the death is being investigated as a possible suicide.

Graduation Ceremony Overshadowed

The incident occurred near the stadium’s Bell Tower as the ceremony was about to begin. Though the event continued, many attendees were visibly shaken. The university has reached out to graduates and volunteers to offer counseling services.
