Tragic Fire in Brazil: 10 Dead, 11 Injured at Porto Alegre Guesthouse 🔥🇧🇷

A dev­as­tat­ing fire broke out in the ear­ly morn­ing hours of Fri­day at a guest­house in Por­to Ale­gre, Brazil, leav­ing at least 10 peo­ple dead and 11 oth­ers injured. The Rio Grande do Sul state fire depart­ment is still search­ing for miss­ing indi­vid­u­als, while foren­sics teams have begun inves­ti­gat­ing the scene.

The guest­house, which oper­at­ed with­out a prop­er license and lacked a fire-fight­ing plan, caught fire around 2 a.m. local time. Fire­fight­ers arrived prompt­ly and man­aged to extin­guish the blaze with­in two hours.

Author­i­ties have yet to deter­mine the cause of the fire, and inves­ti­ga­tions are ongo­ing. Lieu­tenant Colonel Lucio Junes da Sil­va, who spoke with CNN Brasil, stat­ed that the build­ing has been cor­doned off, and foren­sics teams are in charge of the scene.
