In a devastating incident, a Utah CEO and his daughter were killed in a freak accident when a bulldozer fell off a tow truck and crushed their SUV.

The tragic event occurred as the family was traveling up Ogden Canyon in eastern Weber County, Utah.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a tow truck carrying a bulldozer was coming in the opposite direction on the narrow, two-lane road when the machine toppled off the back and directly onto the SUV.

The CEO, Richard David Hendrickson, and his daughter Sally both lost their lives in the horrific collision.

“As the truck was rounding a curve, the bulldozer dislodged from the tow truck,” explained Trooper Heywood of the Utah Highway Patrol.

The bulldozer then fell over onto its side in the opposite lane, crushing the SUV and its occupants.

Hendrickson’s wife and two other children sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident.

The company he led, Lifetime Products, a Utah-based manufacturer of outdoor furniture and equipment, expressed profound sorrow over the loss of their CEO and his daughter.
