Olin Johnson’s Final Post

A Utah family is grieving after a tragic murder-suicide that took the lives of Olin Johnson, 57, and his wife Kerilyn, 52. The couple was found dead at their home in American Fork.

Police believe Olin shot Kerilyn before turning the gun on himself. Their six children, ranging from late teens to adults, have been left orphaned.

In his last Instagram post, just a day before the tragedy, Olin wrote: “No matter how crappy a person I am, motorcycles always love me back. Oh and skiing. Skiing loves me too.”

The post featured a picture of Olin on his motorcycle, a hobby he shared with his family. Olin’s children responded with loving messages, unaware of the impending darkness.

Community in Shock

The couple’s friends and family described them as enjoying outdoor activities and vacations together. The motive for the murder-suicide remains unclear. Kerilyn’s former teacher called her “one of the most generous, kind, supportive people.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the Johnson children. This heartbreaking event highlights the importance of mental health awareness and seeking help during difficult times.
