Burnout Alert! A young banker’s death after a crazy workweek has Gen Z asking: is chasing fat stacks worth dying for?

Here’s the lowdown: Leo Lukenas, a war vet turned banker, died after allegedly pulling 100-hour weeks on a $2 billion deal. Bank peeps are LIVID, saying the bank’s pressure cooker culture is to blame. They’re demanding an 80-hour workweek cap (still intense, but less deadly) and weekends off! â€

This ain’t new. Back in the day, another young banker died under similar circumstances. Banks promised to chill, but profits took priority, and here we are again.

The question is: will Wall Street finally listen? If they don’t, it could mean more deaths AND a talent drain. Who wants to work themselves to death for a company that doesn’t care? ☠
