This ain’t your Thanksgiving dinner! A fearless wild turkey strutted her stuff across Manhattan this week, dodging traffic and chilling in trees.

The adventurous bird spent Tuesday and Wednesday foraging in the concrete jungle near 49th and Madison, leaving New Yorkers gobbling with surprise (and delight!).

“This chick’s a total boss,” says one birdwatcher who filmed her. “She flies like a champ and knows how to survive!” Apparently, this feathered explorer first showed off her mad skills in Long Island City before taking a three-mile cruise across the East River. Talk about a wild ride! ⛎

Despite not being a long-distance flyer, our turkey heroine somehow landed in Midtown, casually navigating busy crosswalks near a construction site. This city life ain’t fazing her!

“Traffic’s a risk, but she’s sidewalk-savvy,” says the birdwatcher. “Maybe she needs a taxi to Central Park for some snacks?”

Experts think she might have crossed the Queensboro Bridge or used Roosevelt Island as a rest stop. Once in the Big Apple, she enjoyed some blueberries from kind restaurant staff and even took a relaxing bath! đŸ«

At sunset, she soared into a tree for a peaceful night’s sleep. This turkey’s got NYC living figured out!

“She’s chill and way less grumpy than most turkeys,” says the birdwatcher. “A real treat for New Yorkers to see some wild side!” It’s a beautiful reminder that nature can still find a home in the city that never sleeps. 
