Real Madrid beat Al Hilal 5–3 in Morocco to win the Club World Cup for the fifth time in their history preventing the Saudi side from a €250,000 bonus.
Carlo Ancelotti’s European champions took the lead with goals from Vinicius Junior and Fede Valverde before Moussa Marega restored Al Hilal’s edge.
Karim Benzema saw the Whites regain the lead before Valverde scored his second goal of the evening an hour later.

The match against Saudi Arabia’s professional league champions was one of the favourites, but Ancelotti’s team struggled with only two wins in the last seven games before beating Egypt’s Al Ahly in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Brazil’s Flamengo advance to the final. Al Saud, the founder of Kingdom Holding Company, says he is ready to give each of his players even bigger bonuses if they can beat Real Madrid.
Despite losing the final, Al Hilal defied expectations and reached the final against one of Europe’s most successful teams.
Before defeating Flamengo, Ramon Diaz was nominated by the Asian Football Confederation and defeated Widad Casablanca in the second round.
