There’ll be no lovemaking in the City of Love at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as “anti-sex” beds have arrived to deter athletes from getting intimate during the games.

The beds, manufactured by Airweave, are designed with materials and a small twin-size frame that allegedly aims to discourage competitors from engaging in any amorous activities. The cardboard frames are even said to be constructed to collapse under excess weight, further hindering any sexual antics.

According to the organizing committee, sustainability is the primary reason behind the unconventional bed choice, as the fully recyclable materials align with Paris 2024’s goal of reducing environmental impact. However, past Olympic hook-up stories suggest the chaste accommodations may not be enough to stop the horny athletes.

“I’ve seen people having sex right out in the open. On the grass, between buildings, people are getting down and dirty,” one anonymous U.S. gold medalist previously revealed to the Mirror. Another competitor even claimed a hot tub orgy took place during a previous Games.

While the “anti-sex” beds may seem like a drastic measure, the Paris Olympics are not the first to take steps to curb athlete intimacy. The 2020 Tokyo Games also utilized similar cardboard sleeping arrangements, though they failed to stop the Olympians’ notoriously raunchy behavior.

Ultimately, it remains to be seen whether the innovative bed design can successfully deter the famously frisky athletes from indulging in their amorous antics during the 2024 Paris Olympics. But if history is any indication, the horny competitors may find a way around even the most chaste of accommodations.
