Cristiano Ronaldo returned to training at Manchester United today following a meeting with Erik Ten Hag.

The Portuguese star was left out of the Red Devils squad for Saturday night’s 1–1 draw with Chelsea.

The decision comes after the 37-year-old refused to sit on the bench against Tottenham last week.

And he ran through the tunnel before the end of the 2–0 win.

Ten Hag forced Ronaldo to self-train and banned him from playing at Stamford Bridge.

He was also fined about two weeks’ wages and up to €830,000 for undisciplined behavior in public.

He arrived at United’s Carrington training ground on Tuesday morning to face the manager and his teammates after the entire squad had rested Monday.

Ronaldo arrived just before 10am in a Cadillac Escalade, a 37th birthday present worth €173,000 from his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.

He was the only one in the car with sunglasses on, but as usual he was accompanied by a security guard in a Range Rover.

Along with Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Donny Vandebeek, he was pictured as part of the first team ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol.

SunSport says he could be sidelined for the Sheriff fight if he doesn’t repent of his actions, but his participation in the session is a good sign and he’s fit enough to participate. It is said.

According to reports, Ronaldo and Tenhag have been in constant dialogue over the past few days.

Ten Hag is said to believe that since Ronaldo has been punished, he hopes the whole group will go in the same direction.

Ten Hag said it was “bad behavior” and stressed that despite Ronaldo’s achievements he could not get any special treatment.

“He’s done a lot in his career,” he said last week.

“But he must be aware that he will be judged by the moment and by his performance today. At the top level of sport, today is what counts, not age or reputation.

“In elite sports, you are judged by your performance in the moment.

Everyone should be aware of that, not just “Cristiano”.

“We have to be conscious as a team, as a manager, as a club.”

SunSport have revealed that Ronaldo is open to a move to Napoli in January if the situation at United is not resolved.

A source said: “Chelsea were interested in Ronaldo over the summer, but he’s no longer on their radar.”

Italy is now the most likely. “Napoli were interested in Ronaldo in the summer and are still interested.

I’m sure his arrival will be a big help for them as they aim to stay at the top of Serie A and make progress in the Champions League. â€
