Cristiano Ronaldo remains at Manchester United because no club wants him.
The striker hopes to leave the club in the summer and there have been talks of him leaving in January.
Some of Ronaldo’s teammates also thought he would leave once the transfer window reopened.
However, according to ESPN, there was no buyer for Ronaldo and he will remain until the end of the season when his contract expires.
Furthermore, Erik Ten Hag is said not to receive any money to replace Ronaldo, so he would not want to let him go.
But Ronaldo still wants to play in the Champions League and won’t insist on a transfer.
Additionally, he has made just one start in the league this season and is keen to increase his playing time.
The 37-year-old Ronaldo has been linked with several European clubs over the summer.
However, despite interest from Napoli, Atlético Madrid and Chelsea, the offer never materialized.
In fact, the only concrete offer for the striker was Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal.
The club had intended to offer Ronaldo a contract worth €2 million a week, but both Ronaldo and United rejected the offer.
Galatasaray are said to be the newest club between the Turkish giants, who are said to be “going all out” with an ambitious offer.
