Manchester City star Jack Grealish has revealed that he was told by the Copenhagen goalkeeper that goal-scoring prodigy Erling Haaland was ‘not human’ after scoring a string of first-half blows.
The Premier League champions welcome Copenhagen to the Etihad for the third leg of the Champions League group stage.
And in just seven minutes, Haaland has scored 18 goals in all competitions.
The 22-year-old scored with his weak right foot.
Then, half an hour later, he scored again, with an instinctive finish into the empty net.
Haaland scored his 19th goal in just 13 appearances, the fifth time he has scored two or more goals for City this season.
Copenhagen goalkeeper Kamil Grabara said of his horrifying appearance, “Is he human?
City ace Grealish told BT Sport: “Honestly, I can’t believe it. I’ve never seen anything like this before.”
“I laughed at the first and second points. It’s always there.
“On my way out the goalkeeper said something. He said ‘He’s not human!
He said, “Are you saying that to me?” Let’s hope he continues to lead us to glory.”
Haaland was sent off before the start of the second half and had 45 minutes left to score his fourth hat-trick of the season.
City added three goals to their Haaland double in the first half.
David Kochorava scored an own goal, followed by Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez to secure a 5–0 victory.
