Nice goalÂkeepÂer Kasper SchmeÂichel was booed by his own fans before the match against Nantes on SunÂday night.
The 35-year-old Dane left LeicesÂter this sumÂmer for France after more than a decade at King PowÂer Stadium.
But the first few months after his arrival were a nightmare.
And when his name was read out before the home game against Nantes, the goalÂkeepÂer was booed by his own supporters.
Fans then applaudÂed subÂstiÂtute goalÂkeepÂer Marcin Burka.
Nice defendÂed one point with a penalÂty kick from NicoÂla Pepe, who is on loan from ArseÂnal, to draw (1â1).
SchmeÂichel has played in 10 of Niceâs 12 Ligue 1 games this season.
HowÂevÂer, a report by LâEÂquipe earÂliÂer this month sugÂgestÂed that SchmeÂichel was already conÂsidÂerÂing leavÂing in the JanÂuÂary window.
At the club, he has been described as showÂing âa lack of proÂfesÂsionÂalÂismâ, with his warm-up being too short and his isoÂlaÂtion from the rest of the team durÂing training.
There are also conÂcerns about adaptÂing to Niceâs style of play.
At LeicesÂter he was used to playÂing behind a deepÂer defenÂsive structure.
But Nice manÂagÂer Lucien Favre wants to play at a highÂer line and it is quesÂtionÂable whether SchmeÂichel can covÂer that gap.
The DanÂish goalÂkeepÂer has had an epic 11 years at Leicester.
He made 479 appearÂances for the club, winÂning the PreÂmier League, FA Cup and Championship.
He also has 86 caps for the DanÂish nationÂal team, reached the semi-finals of last yearâs EuroÂpean ChamÂpiÂonship and won DenÂmarkâs PlayÂer of the Year award four times.
