Legendary boxer Mike Tyson’s close friend and former trainer, Jeff Fenech, recounted a terrifying incident where he believed Tyson was dead. Fenech, a three-time world champion himself, has known Tyson since the 1980s and even trained him for his final fights.

During a visit to Tyson’s Las Vegas home in the mid-2000s, Fenech described a harrowing scene. “I was in a room with him, and I thought he was gone,” Fenech revealed to the Mirror. “It was the worst way possible. My wife and I went to his house, and he was unconscious in the living room.”

Fenech’s attempts to rouse Tyson were unsuccessful, leaving him fearing the worst. This incident highlighted Tyson’s battles with substance abuse after his boxing career. Fenech, however, remains a loyal friend, praising Tyson’s wife, Lakiha Spicer, for her unwavering support.

The postponement of Tyson’s highly anticipated comeback fight against Jake Paul due to a medical scare has sparked concerns about the bout’s future. Despite this, Fenech remains resolute in his support. “I know Mike better than anyone,” Fenech said. “True friends stick by each other, no matter what.”
