PSG Star Achraf Hakimi’s Wife Demands Half of Footballer’s Assets in Divorce Proceedings surprised he has nothing

Hiba Abouk, the wife of Moroc­can foot­baller Achraf Haki­mi, has filed for divorce and demand­ed more than half of his assets and property. 

The PSG star is one of the high­est-paid play­ers in Ligue 1, earn­ing over €1 mil­lion per month. How­ev­er, a sur­prise await­ed Abouk in court.

Despite Hakim­i’s sub­stan­tial earn­ings, he had put all his prop­er­ty in his moth­er’s name, leav­ing Abouk with no legal claim to it. 

The divorce pro­ceed­ings come in the wake of rape alle­ga­tions against Haki­mi by French prosecutors.

Abouk released a state­ment through Span­ish news­pa­per El País, clar­i­fy­ing that she had made the deci­sion to divorce Haki­mi pri­or to the allegations. 

She expressed the dif­fi­cul­ty of the sep­a­ra­tion and the pain of a failed fam­i­ly project, com­pound­ed by the scan­dal sur­round­ing her soon-to-be ex-husband.

The actress empha­sized the need for time to process the sit­u­a­tion and recov­er her per­son­al, pub­lic, and pro­fes­sion­al life in the least dam­ag­ing way possible.
