Scottie Scheffler, the reigning Masters champion and current world No. 1 golfer, displayed visible frustration during the opening round of the Charles Schwab Challenge.

After missing a short birdie putt on the 11th hole, Scheffler threw his putter and vented his anger at the greens.

This outburst follows a dramatic arrest just a week prior at the PGA Championship. Scheffler faces serious charges, including felony assault on a police officer.

Scheffler’s on-course meltdown raises concerns about the potential impact of his legal troubles. Despite the setback, he managed to salvage par and even birdied later holes, finishing the day even.
