Elon Musk’s Neuralink hit a speedbump with its first brain-computer interface (BCI) implant. The chip, implanted in 29-year-old Nolan Arbaugh in January, had some tiny wires (threads) detach.

Neuralink’s BCI lets paralyzed peeps control gadgets with their thoughts! The implant has super-thin threads with electrodes that pick up brain signals. This malfunction made it hard to track how well the implant worked.

But Neuralink didn’t freak out! They tweaked the recording software, improved how brain signals turn into cursor movements, and upgraded the user interface. These fixes gave Arbaugh a supercharged cursor control (BPS way up!), even better than before the glitch! âšĄïž

Even with the setback, Neuralink kept the implant in because it’s safe for Arbaugh. He now uses the BCI system for up to 10 hours a day on weekends!

This glitch slows Neuralink down a bit, but their fast fix shows they’re serious about making mind-control a reality! #Neuralink #BCI #BrainChip #FutureTech
