An Epsom College principal was found dead in her home on the school grounds, along with her husband and seven-year-old daughter.
Emma Pattison, 45, her husband George, 39, and her daughter Letty, were found dead at 1:10 a.m. Japan time on Sunday.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service visited the public school, according to Surrey Police.
Police believe the incident was a single incident “without third party involvement.”
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of death.
On behalf of the Surrey Police Department and my team, and myself, first of all, to the friends and family of Emma, Letty and George, and to the students and staff of Epsom College, my heartfelt condolences for this tragic loss.
“I want to assure you that we will thoroughly investigate what happened last night.” .”
Pattison has been the principal of Croydon High School in South London for six years before she became Epsom’s first female principal in September 2022.
According to Companyhouse, her principal’s husband, George, was a CPA and a director of a management consultancy called Tanglewood 2016.
The school’s director called her late colleague “a wonderful teacher and most of all, a lovely person.”
“On behalf of everyone at Epsom College, I would like to express my shock and disbelief at this sad news,” said Dr. Alastair Wells.
“We immediately think of Emma’s family, her friends, her loved ones, and her many students and colleagues with whom she has enriched her life through her distinguished career. I think of her and extend my condolences to her.”
In October, Pattison tweeted that she was “delighted” that Epsom College won the 2022 Independent School of the Year award.
Sheena’s daughter attends Croydon High School, where Pattison used to work.
Her mother, who gave only her first name, called the news “absolutely shocking and tragic.”
