Olivier Giroud is one of Manchester United’s transfer window targets.

Manchester United are looking for more talent in the January transfer window, but have specific criteria for who they want, both sporting and financial.

Giroud is emerging as an alternative to Eri Ten Hag as the club consider the possibility of signing Joao Felix.

According to The Times, Anthony Martial’s fitness problems and the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, who arrived in Saudi Arabia last night for Al Nasr, have prompted the club to consider the former Chelsea and Arsenal player.

But the 36-year-old hopes AC Milan will offer him a new deal after the season.

Regarding the forward line, Tenhag said, “I think it would be a good line-up with all the players.

“But we have a lot of games ahead, so I think it’s necessary.

“But you need players who can make an impact, otherwise you’re just burning money and you can’t build a team and it’s not going to do you any good.

Utd have scored 24 league goals this season, placing them 10th in the Premier League in terms of statistics.

A rejuvenated Marcus Rashford has scored 11 goals across all competitions this season, with most of them.

But Martial, who plays in midfield, has only started four league games and six overall.

United desperately need a stronger striker to meet the club’s requirements.

AtlĂ©tico Madrid’s Felix, who missed the acquisition of Kodi Gakpo, seems to be the favorite, but the cost of the loan transfer is 21 million euros.

That means Giroud, who scored four goals in the World Cup, could be the subject of a surprise transfer.

Ten Hag also revealed that he was “not comfortable” with bringing back Amado Diallo, who was on loan at Sunderland.

The 20-year-old has scored six goals in 20 appearances for the Black Cats, and Tenhag hopes Diallo continues to improve despite his team’s problems.

He added, “I’ve considered everything, but I’m a little hesitant because I don’t want to stop the process.

“He has progressed so much that I am happy.”
