Real Madrid are reportedly looking to sign Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus next summer.

The Brazilian had a potential move to the Spanish giants this summer, but has since abandoned the move.

Madrid have reportedly turned down the transfer on the grounds of “problems with Yes’s passport”.

Still, Carlo Ancelotti’s favorite player remains.

According to Goal, Jesus is on the list of five players created by the Italian.

Ancelotti sees him as the perfect backup and potential successor to Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema.

The 25-year-old Jesus has helped Arsenal to a great start to the season.

The former Manchester City player has five goals and four assists in 11 Premiership appearances.

Arsenal are in second place and could overtake City in the lead with a win over Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

Madrid’s squad also includes Alfonso Davies, Endric, Enzo Fernández and Piero Hincapie.

Earlier this month, Jesus told BT Sport that he already feels a bond with Arsenal fans.

The first few days he signed here, he went to a Brazilian restaurant.

“When I was waiting outside in the car, a lot of Arsenal fans came to pick me up.”

“At Manchester City, of course it’s different. City have had a big impact over the last 10, 15 years. Before, Arsenal had it. No, this is it.

You can feel the “welcome” feeling when you come and talk. I will always support you. That’s right.
