PepÂsiÂCo Inc has announced that it has recalled more than 300,000 StarÂbucks cofÂfee drinks after glass was found in some of the bottles.
The volÂunÂtary recall issued on JanÂuÂary 28 affects 25,200 casÂes of refrigÂerÂatÂed cofÂfee drink VanilÂla FrapÂpucÂciÂno, the FDA said. Each carÂton conÂtains 12 botÂtles, and 302,400 botÂtles are subÂject to the recall.
The FDA clasÂsiÂfies this recall as Class II, âIf the prodÂuct has the potenÂtial to cause temÂpoÂrary or medÂicalÂly reversible adverse health effects, or the potenÂtial for seriÂous adverse health effects is remote, , accordÂing to the agenÂcyâs website.
BotÂtles sold by PepÂsiÂCo nationÂwide with expiÂraÂtion dates of March 8, May 29, June 4, and June 10 are subÂject to the recall.
The notice did not say whether there were reports of injuries or how the glass was found. PepÂsiÂCo did not immeÂdiÂateÂly respond to a request for comment.
