In the upcoming grudge match between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul on August 5, Diaz has called for a drastic rule change, stating that he wants to fight for 12 rounds instead of the agreed-upon eight. Diaz has also accused Paul of using steroids and is demanding new rules to be put in place. Despite Paul’s consistent denial of using body-enhancing drugs, Diaz believes that the alleged steroid use warrants a 12-round fight.

The former UFC fighter, who recently left MMA’s top promotion, believes that this will be the toughest fight of his career, as he will be fighting at 185 pounds, 30 pounds heavier than his heyday in MMA. The two fighters are scheduled to meet next Monday in Dallas for a press conference, despite concerns that the game might be canceled following Diaz’s recent arrest warrant in New Orleans.

Diaz’s attorney is currently in contact with law enforcement in New Orleans, and Diaz was granted bail after turning himself in earlier this week. Diaz’s spokesman has confirmed that he is now free to travel and is set to attend the press conference. As the fight draws closer, fans eagerly anticipate what promises to be an explosive showdown between two of the biggest names in combat sports.
