Frank O’Farell The former coach of Manchester United, died at the age of 94 years.

The Irish­man was in charge at Old Traf­ford in the 1970s, replac­ing the leg­endary Sir Matt Busby.

O’Far­rell launched his career play­ing for his local club in Cork before mov­ing to Eng­lish soc­cer with West Ham and then Pre­ston North End.

He then man­aged Wey­mouth, Torquay Unit­ed and Leices­ter City before land­ing his man­age­r­i­al role at Man U.

React­ing to his death, West Ham said on Twit­ter, “Every­one at the Club is sad­dened by the news of Frank O’Far­rel­l’s pass­ing at the age of 94.
