The Irishman was in charge at Old Trafford in the 1970s, replacing the legendary Sir Matt Busby.
O’Farrell launched his career playing for his local club in Cork before moving to English soccer with West Ham and then Preston North End.
He then managed Weymouth, Torquay United and Leicester City before landing his managerial role at Man U.
Reacting to his death, West Ham said on Twitter, “Everyone at the Club is saddened by the news of Frank O’Farrell’s passing at the age of 94.
