The Brazilian Football Federation has denied a report by ESPN Brazil that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has been appointed as the new coach of the Brazilian men’s national team.

Brazil were looking to replace Tite, who left after December’s Qatar World Cup quarter-final defeat to Croatia.

An experienced Real Madrid coach from 2021, Ancelotti has managed clubs such as Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich in his 28-year career.

According to ESPN Brazil journalist Bruno Vicari, the Italian has given the go-ahead to coach Brazil in his first international match this summer.

Although no formal agreement has been reached, Ancelotti is said to have responded positively to the CBF’s interest.

“The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) affirms that the news reported on Friday that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti (Italy) has been appointed as the new coach of the Brazilian national team is groundless,” said the CBF.

“President Ednardo Rodriguez endorses his statement after the draw of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday, in which he said: “The matter will be dealt with transparently and the selected coach will be announced at the appropriate time.

Ancelotti coached Madrid in the Champions League and La Liga last season and is currently second in La Liga, eight points behind leaders Barcelona, who will face Al Hilal in the Club World Cup final on Saturday.

Multiple sources have told that Ancelotti is the frontrunner to replace Tite.

However, sources close to the manager insist that he is happy with Madrid, who have a contract until 2024.

A Real Madrid source told ESPN they were not aware of any plans for the manager to leave this summer.

“No, I don’t know,” Ancelotti replied. The “situation” is very clear. The contract is until 2024. â€

With his eyes on the Club World Cup final, Ancelotti said the victory could be the catalyst for the rest of the season for Real Madrid.

“A key moment at this stage.” “February and March will be the final match of the season, so I’m here as usual. You look fine and we’re starting with the Club World Cup final.”

The La Liga champions lost their final final, the Spanish Super Cup, to Barça 3–1 on 15 January and Mallorca 1–0 last Saturday.

“This final can give us momentum for the rest of the season,” said Ancelotti. “We can be more confident going into the games ahead. The team is already confident, but the Super Cup defeats against Barcelona and Mallorca have taken their toll. A great season like last season. I believe we can do it.”
