Jamie Foxx Hospitalized for Medical Complication During Filming in Atlanta with Cameron Diaz

Actor Jamie Foxx was hos­pi­tal­ized after suf­fer­ing a med­ical com­pli­ca­tion while film­ing his lat­est movie, Back In Action, with co-star Cameron Diaz in Atlanta. 

Foxx’s fam­i­ly released a state­ment on his Insta­gram account, stat­ing that he had suf­fered a med­ical com­pli­ca­tion and was tak­en to the hospital. 

While the fam­i­ly did not pro­vide details about Foxx’s con­di­tion, a source told TMZ that it was a “med­ical emer­gency,” but he is now “com­mu­ni­cat­ing” again.

Foxx’s fam­i­ly stat­ed that he is “on the road to recov­ery,” but it is unclear when he will be dis­charged from the hos­pi­tal or return to filming. 

The Oscar-win­ner recent­ly filmed the action com­e­dy in Atlanta, which also stars Glenn Close. How­ev­er, film­ing has report­ed­ly been a stress­ful ordeal, not just for Foxx, but for his col­leagues as well.

Last month, he report­ed­ly had a ner­vous break­down while film­ing a movie in the UK, result­ing in the dis­missal of sev­er­al peo­ple, includ­ing the exec­u­tive pro­duc­er, two direc­tors, and his own driver.

Foxx has two daugh­ters, Corinne and Annal­ize, and his fam­i­ly has request­ed pri­va­cy dur­ing this time. While it is unclear what led to Foxx’s hos­pi­tal­iza­tion, his fans and col­leagues are send­ing their well wish­es for his speedy recovery.
