Actor Jamie Foxx was hospitalized after suffering a medical complication while filming his latest movie, Back In Action, with co-star Cameron Diaz in Atlanta.
Foxx’s family released a statement on his Instagram account, stating that he had suffered a medical complication and was taken to the hospital.
While the family did not provide details about Foxx’s condition, a source told TMZ that it was a “medical emergency,” but he is now “communicating” again.
Foxx’s family stated that he is “on the road to recovery,” but it is unclear when he will be discharged from the hospital or return to filming.
The Oscar-winner recently filmed the action comedy in Atlanta, which also stars Glenn Close. However, filming has reportedly been a stressful ordeal, not just for Foxx, but for his colleagues as well.
Last month, he reportedly had a nervous breakdown while filming a movie in the UK, resulting in the dismissal of several people, including the executive producer, two directors, and his own driver.
Foxx has two daughters, Corinne and Annalize, and his family has requested privacy during this time. While it is unclear what led to Foxx’s hospitalization, his fans and colleagues are sending their well wishes for his speedy recovery.
