Rapper Desiigner Charged For Masturbating on International Flight

Rap­per Desi­ign­er, whose real name is Sid­ney Royel Sel­by III, is fac­ing charges of forcible inde­cen­cy after alleged­ly expos­ing him­self and mas­tur­bat­ing on a Delta Air Lines flight from Tokyo to Min­neapo­lis on April 17.

The inci­dent last­ed for approx­i­mate­ly 60 to 90 min­utes and involved mul­ti­ple expo­sures, accord­ing to a crim­i­nal com­plaint. The 25-year-old rap­per claimed he had­n’t had sex in a week and apol­o­gized to crew mem­bers before his arrest.

Desi­ign­er has been known for his hit song “Pan­da,” but his recent behav­ior has caused con­cern among his fans. In a state­ment post­ed on his Insta­gram Sto­ry, the rap­per admit­ted to under­go­ing psy­chi­atric treat­ment and expressed shame over his actions on the flight.

He also can­celed all upcom­ing shows and oblig­a­tions until fur­ther notice.

The inci­dent has sparked out­rage and con­cern for the safe­ty of pas­sen­gers on flights.
